Important update from CGU

There are some upcoming administrative changes at CGU. Please rest assured that these changes will not affect your policy terms, premium, or coverage in any way.

What’s happening?

Your policy with CGU is underwritten by the insurer Insurance Australia Limited (ABN 11 000 016 722) trading as CGU Insurance (IAL). As part of a strategic change, related company CGU Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 62 004 478 960) (CGUA) is applying with IAL to the Federal Court of Australia to transfer IAL’s intermediated insurance business into CGUA, on or about 1 October 2025 (the scheme). This will include CGU and your policy.

Transferring IAL’s intermediated insurance business into CGUA requires confirmation of the scheme by the Federal Court of Australia.

The scheme will not change the terms and cover provided by your policy. There will be no impact on claims, and policies will continue to operate and be renewed in the same way.

You do not need to do anything if you have no objection to the scheme.
